REVIEW : ONE 'n' ONLY - ARAGAN HAIR TREATMENT OIL

Please forgive me for not blogging in so very very long. Just had so much on my plate with work and starting a family and the entire sha-bam. But that’s life and now that I am starting to get a groove back into things I am going to get back into blogging again. Since I have been away I have been able to try out some really great products and some not so much. What I really wanted to share with you all is a product I have been trying out for the last 3 and ½ months. Its called One ‘n’ Only – Aragan Oil Treatment By BaByliss Pro.

The one thing I just must say is that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. Having fine hair and wanting to just simply add some shine to it without making it feel so oily and greasy with all these versions of shine serums just basically nothing worked for me other than the KMS Hair Serum.

Written on the Bottle:
Aragan Oil Treatment – Derived from Moroccan Aragan Trees.
Aragan Oil Treatment instantly absorbs into the hair for smoothness, shine and conditioning, leaves no oily residue.

Directions:Apply a small amount to wet or dry hair.

This treatment is good to help frizz, as a heat protectant, color protectant and I have even heard it even gives your hair UV protection. So to me this is a all in one leave in hair treatment. I use it usually just after washing my hair at night or just before styling my hair to go out. And I have even done double applications without washing out my hair, and it still does not make my hair feel oily, but rather it leaves it easy to manage, smooth, and looking healthy.

In Australia a 100mL bottle usually retails for about $35 so with the current exchange rate its approximately Php 1610.00 a bottle.
And then they have 7.4mL bottles that will retail between $5- $7 which is approximately Php230 – Php 322 .

Considering that I have been usuing the 7.4mL bottle for about 3 and ½ months and still have 1/3 of the bottle left with almost using it daily is great for its price. My hair is relatively long but it is fine, but the amount of product you use really is like half a pea size. It goes a long way.
There are also other products called Moroccan oil that I still have yet to try, that usually a fair bit expensive. But so far in my eyes they seem to do very similar things if not the same.

PRODUCT SUMMARY

Pros:

- It’s affordable – comparing to the amount of product you use. I will probably use one 100mL bottle for an entire year maybe even longer.
- It’s a multifunctional product
- Leaves hair smooth, easy to manage, no frizz, heat,color and UV protectant.
Cons:
- not sure if its available locally in the Philippines.

RATING - 4.5 stars out of 5 just because its not locally available everywhere. But other than that its AMAZING!

So anyway ladies and gents if you get a chance to try this amazing product! Do so because I am sure you will not regret it.

DRY SKIN ??? - SUGAR OLIVE OIL SCRUB ANYONE CAN MAKE!!

Dry Skin problems??? All creams, serums and faces masks just don't seem to cut it? Well here is something that you might not have tried, and what is wonderful about this face scrub is that anyone can just whip it up in their kitchen in no time.

This home made scrub has been around for a very long time.

All you need is:

2 or 3 Tablespoons - Extra Virgin Olive Oil ( It needs to be extra virgin)
1/2 cup               - Sugar ( not artificial sweeteners)
2 Tablespoons       - Honey (not maple syrup)
1                       - Mixing Stick
1                         - Small Container w/Lid

Directions:

Add 2 or 3 tbsp of olive oil

add 2 tbsp of honey

add 1/2 of sugar

mix everything together

Put the extra virgin olive oil, honey and sugar into the container, then mix together.

This is the finished product.

How to apply:

First ensure your face is clean and makeup free.

Use a spatula and get a small amount, about the size of the tip of your pinky should be enough for your entire face, and scrub into your face for 60 seconds, then rinse off.

You should instantly feel your face feel smooth and moisturized.

If you feel you need more moisture, continue and apply your moisturizer.

Storage:

Do not store this scrub in the fridge, because the mixture will harden up and become hard to use.
You can store it in your pantry, with the lid tightly closed to prevent ants from getting into it. It should not go bad for at least a month.

Fun Facts:

- Olive Oil does not clog up your pores, although it does contain vitamin E, which you will find in a lot of your creams and serums, this is what keeps our looking healthy and moisturized. What’s also wonderful about olive oil is that if you ever run out of makeup remover, olive oil is another great option.

Personal Opinion:

I discovered this scrub watching one of my favorite makeup guru's Michelle Phan on youtube.
I have tried this scrub. The inital smell of this scrub is not pleasant. But once applied you can not smell it any more. After finishing applying and rinsing off, I feel my skin instantly smooth and clear from any flaking and dry skin.

I really suggest if you can't find something to assist your dry skin problems in
creams and serums, or you just want to save some money. This is definitely a great alternative.

ACNE PROBLEMS = ANSWER - SOS TROPICAL SOULTION

As you my fellow readers and bloggers, will now be aware of my constant search for a answer to my acne problems without spending all my money.

I believe I have now found my answer.

I have stumbled across the SOS (Save Our Skin) Solution treatment. It is available in your local Watson’s pharmacy for only P100.00. It contains Clindamycin Phosphate, 1% Tropical solution with Vitamin E.

It says on the bottle:

Clindamycin 1% Tropical Solution with vitamin E is a tropical antibiotic which contains an antioxidant use in the treatment of acne vulgans. The combination of antibiotic and Vitamin E’s natural skin repairing substance is an innovation that can prevent, heal acne as well as acne lesions and scarring.

I am very weary of what I put on my skin, since lately certain products have been making me break out more than ever. Although I have been using this product for just about a week now and I have seen a big improvement in my skin and the reduction of acne and scarring.

I really love this product and I will continue to use this product to treat my acne issues.

Directions:

Wash affected area gently with soap and water. You may use warm, moist compress to open the clogged pores. Shake SOS roll on and apply topically by gently rolling SOS on the affected area. When applying around the face, avoid the eye area. Use SOS once or twice a day depending on the severity. To fully enjoy the benefits of SOS, it is recommended to use up to 12 weeks for total healing.

The roll-on type of bottle makes it easy to apply to the face without wasting a lot of product, although this is a treatment that you would not want to share with anyone, just for the hygiene reason.

I personally apply this solution twice a day once before I sleep and before I go out for the day.

REVIEW: CLEAN & CLEAR ACNE CONTROL KIT and OLAY TOTAL EFFECTS FOAMING CLEANSER

Hey readerz,

I guess its about time to finally get back to blogging again after this insanely busy holiday season. My family has been and gone from the good old land down under - Australia, to visit us and the rest of the family here for the Christmas season. Oh, it was a good time, although to be honest, you know when a big family gets together you can't escape thoes unecessary fights we all have. But thats life, I wouldn't have it any other way. So I hope you all had a good holiday season.

Anyway back to the actual review of this blog.

So as you all know I was trying out the Clean & Clear Acne Control Kit, hoping it was the answer to all my prayers for all my acne problems lately.

Unfortunately to be honest, This kit did not do me much good at all. I thought after the first few days of use I was seeing my skin clear up. But unfortunately after day and night during 2-3 weeks of use I had no results, my skin was still popping up with annoying acne and it just would not go away.

I was not happy at all, given that I had to attend a few weddings and parties, the last thing I want is acne showing through all my photos.

So here are the pros & cons of my experience for this product.

Pro:

- Affordable

- Available Locally

- Most of clean & clear lines are effective unfortunately for this one it is not for me.

- Easy to apply with a simple step to step program

- Nice packaging

Cons:

- Does not work for me

Overal Rating:

This is a nice product, especially if it works for you, Just unfortunately it did not for me at all. I wont be repurchasing this product again :(

So after I determined that I was not happy with the clean & clear acne control kit, I just tried to make sure I washed it morning and night with facial wipes or soap. Gradually over a few weeks of doing this, my face was getting clearer - YAY. It wasn't removing everything and I still had acne marks left on my forehead, but it was going away. But I decided to go for a chemical peel at my local facial center for PHP 400.00. Usually you get it for PHP 1500.00 at other facial clinics. So I figured why not give it a shot, since I have watched a co-worker's face clear up after having the same treatment.

So, the dermatologist explained that over a week my face will slowly peel and remove my first layer of skin. She advised me to use only sunscreen(am only), the anti-biotic cream (provided by the clinic) and soap every morning and night. Never apply moisturizer, scrub, scratch or pick at the pealing skin.

This treatment only takes 15 minutes to apply, then you must leave it on for an hour until you may wash it off.

15 minutes does not sound like a big ask, but Oh did I wish someone would of told me what I was going to go through during that 15 mintues. My face was itchy and stingy and you cant scratch it at all. And then it'll stay like that for the 1 hour. I assume this is because the chemicals are potent and just absorbing into the skin until the skin dries up and begins to peal.

After the 1 hour the face starts to settle down, and it's not so hard to bear. But I was regretting going for the facial. After 1 day your face goes very red, but the clinic sells a tinted moisturizer so it does not looks so bad, but I didn't know they were selling at the time, so I found out after it was too late, ugh.

Anyway after the 2nd day - 4th day your face should have started pealing and almost finished.

My face was nice clear and smooth again. So I do not regret in the long run doing this treatment, all my acne scars were gone and my exsiting acne dried up and is not bothering me so much any more.

I do recommend having this treatment only if you NEED it, as in you wish to remove scars that you can't remove any other way. This treatment can only be once a month, but again not on a regular basis, is my own oppinion.

Pros:

- Clears up skin

- My clinic provides the service at a affordable price

Cons:

- Skin gets itchy and stingy whiles treatment is ongoing and after 2 days after treatment.

-Treatment takes 1 week to complete

- Expensive at most facial clinics

Overall:

I am happy with the results, just wish it didn't take 1 week to complete. I will have this service done again, but proberly not in the near future.

So, since I went through all of that for one week, I wanted to make sure I kept my skin in the same condition. So I went out looking for a good cleanser that would remove the dirt and keep my face clean.

I decided to try Olay Total Effects foaming cleanser, because it claimed to, " remove excess oil, gets rid of dirt, removes makeup, gentle on skin, doesn't overdry, helps lift away dull surface skin, non comedogenic". It sounded like the perfect cleanser.

And to be honest, It does hold up to it's standards, It really helped me to keep my skin clear from all the acne, it was really gentle on my skin. Although, I am still not sure on how well it does to brighten up my skin. But I must say for everything else, this is a great product to try.

It is available at all leading supermarkets and drugstores.

Pros:

Gentle on skin
Removes Dirt
Removes Makeup
Helps keep skin oil free

Affordable
Available locally

Cons:

Does not assist with brightening up skin

Overall:

This is a great product to try if you are still on the search for a good cleanser.

I rate this product 4.5/5 because it does not hold up its promise to brighten up dull skin.

Pimple Problems - Clean & Clear Acne Control Kit

Wow, I have really neglected my blog site for a while sorry guys. Anyway I have a few reviews coming up soon. So watch out for them

Lately, I don’t know if it’s because of my diet or stress, or possibly a combination of both. I have been getting so many break outs over the last couple of months. Everything that used to work for me, just isn’t working for me now. So I’ve been searching for a new remedy, so one night while I was looking for my new solution in SM, I came past this little set – Clean & Clear active clear acne control kit by Johnson & Johnson.

The thing that grabbed my attention was that it stated on the box, “100% of people saw clearer skin in 1 day”. Usually you would see products claiming approximately 80%- 95%, but for a brand to claim 100%, must be pretty darn good.

I got this for Php 550.00 in SM Watson’s. It comes with a pack of four pieces. Acne control cleanser, Acne control toner, Acne control moisturizer and a acne control speed gel. So all of these show the best effects when used together.

So I will be taking a few days pictures of my progress using this product. Oh please let this be the one. I want my annoying lil’ bumps on my face to fade into nothing, and, I have my nice smooth face one again.

Review: Face Cleansing Exfoliator

Just the other day I picked up this unqiue little piece at a P85.00 store at Robinsons Galleria, while waiting for a meeting.

I can't remember the name of this shop was, It started with a S, and eveything inside the store was Php 85.00, some pieces worth it and some seemed a little over priced for Php 85.00. But I just came across this facial cleansing exfoliator silicone type brush and I though for Php 85.00 whats the loss.

Im sure we are all aware of the importance of exfoliating your face on a regular basis, is important part of making sure your face is clear of excess dirt and dead skin cells, and allowing the skin to become smooth and glowing.

And because recently im having a problem with random zits appearing, Im trying to do everything to make my face clear and smooth once again.

So, when you first take out the little scrubber, its got these several silicone bristles (if you can call them that), and there is a little part at the back where you slide your index finger and your middle finger on each side so you can hold it into place to scrub all over your face. The inital smell of the brush is not at all pleasant, but give it a quick wash under water, and its all gone.

How to use
1. First apply your face cleanser of choice
2. Get hold of your brush
3. Then start to scrub your cleanser into your face, in a circular motion

4. Once finished wash your face and scrubber
5. Dry your face - and the result your face should be all smooth.

nice and smooth

I have used this brush for the last 3 days every morning and night, It has been sucessful in making my face smooth, but as for assisting in reducing acne, not so well. But will let you know after a few weeks.

Ellana has come out with a few new products, and I just had to give these babies a whirl.

These are the few items I have just got,

Ellana Lip Tint - Lovestruck & Infatuation
Ellana Stick Concealer - Alive & Refresh
Ellana Bronzer - Light Roast

nude lips - nothing applied

lovestruck on top lip & infatuation on lower lip

These lip tints used to be refered to the lip color that came in little tubs. However, now they come in the little tubes for the same price. However, I think these tints give off much more color compared to the lip colors.

When first applied - they go on so smooth and creamy, you don't need to apply alot at all. And for about the first 5-10 minutes you feel a fresh tingly feeling that I like to refer to as "sensation".

Unfortunately, the tints don't stay on for very long, they are very nice, and I am looking forward to trying some more shades. And wondering how long 1 tube will last me.

So we will see how well it goes.

So here is a very new product, where Ellana has annonced their first stick concealer formular, with tea tree oil.

They are very creamy when I swatched them. I think the refresh shade is proberly better for me as you can see in the swatch. But for most asian people, you will more than likely find that alive would work much better on your skin tone, but everyone is different.

So anyway I am very excited to see how well these concealers work under my eyes and on my belmishes. These go for Php 250.00 each.

And last but not least ellana has come out with two new shades of matte blushes, I got the light roast, the lighter of the two. Will let you know how I go with this shade.

Review: Bent Liner Brush

I finally got my little hands on this well raved bent liner brush.

I just always having trouble lining my upper lids, let alone winging it out. My brush was always sitting in the view of my eyes. Super frustrating, So I just knew I needed to get my hands on one of these brushes, without costing me a arm and a leg.

Unfortunately, not many sellers have a bent liner brush here in Philippines. So I started to research for places here in Philippines and hesitantly internationally.Then I stumbled across a website – saying Beauty & Minerals have a bent liner brush. Im not sure how much it is by itself but I got mine 2 for Php 500.00 so it worked out to be P250.00 each.

hehe yay I got the brush - but its got thoes weird lumps on the side - hope it just doesnt get worse.

I was super excited to finally have a bent liner in my hands, and, get the liner the way I finally want it to look, because my hand isn’t in my view.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect because they haven’t posted any pictures of it, on their website, But Ms Sophie, described it to be just like the Smashbox Bent Liner Brush. So, I guess why not.

I was so happy to finally have this brush in my possession. I have used it twice, once with a cream and once with liquid liner. Both work well, and I find it so much easier to apply my liner on my upper lids, compared with my straight liner or angled liner brush.

Although, admittedly I must work on my technique on my winged out liner. But with practice I will get better.

Pros:

- Got a decent sized handle to ensure your hand does not get in the way

- The brush is narrow

- Affordable

- Available locally

- Easy to use

Cons:

- Not the biggest fan of pink ( but that’s nothing to be fussy about when you got this brush.

Overall:

I am happy I got this brush, How it will serve in the future will yet have to be seen. So I will update you on how I go with my winged liner technique goes, and, hopefully this brush will help me do it.

Review: Jumbo Fan Brush

I've been looking for a jumbo fan brush for some time now, and, I just couldn't find anyone who sold it, without coming in a whole set.

Then yesterday, I was in Landmark, whilst looking for a small comb before I went to go see NEW MOON!- (make sure you reserve your seats before going it pays off not waiting in that huge line). I just happend to walk past a misplaced jumbo fan brush, out of its section.

I had to grab it! It was Php 180.00 and plus it looked so lonely out of place hehe.

Anyway, this morning I got to try it out, after cleaning it and what not.

I used it to apply my bronzer and blush. It looks really natural and easy to apply, for me anyway its much easier for me to apply, because it doesn't pick up too much product, just enough so I don't look like a clown.

The brush 18.5 cm long, from the tallest hair of the brush to the tip of the handle. The actual brush is approximately 10cm wide, so It has alot of coverage and is perfect to quicky apply your blush, bronzer or illuminizer.

The hairs are very soft, not itchy or scratchy which is always a good plus.

Pros:
- Available locally
- Makes it easy to apply blush, bronzer & illuminizer
- Hairs are very soft
- Affordable

Cons:
- Not easy to come by this brush

Overall :

I really love this brush, and I hope this brush will last me a long time, because I think I will be using this on a more regular basis from now on. This is not an essential brush for any kikays on a budget, but nonetheless, it is a really nice addition to the collection.

Review: Nivea Deodorant Vs Dove Go- Fresh Anti-perspirant

All us girls just don't like to admit it, but all of us at some time we all use some form of deodorizer to keep us from sweating it out and smelling up the office on thoes stinkin' hot days.

So I wanted to share with you the few ones that I like to use.

I use both Nivea Fresh Natural Ocean Extracts & Dove Go Fresh cucumber & green tea scent.

Both keep me from perspiring and feeling fresh all day - which is the main reason why we use them right. So for me these both work very well.

So for Nivea Fresh Natural - " with ocean extracts offers the confidence of 24 h effective deodorant protection, providing a fresh feeling, all day long. It's the optimal combination of reliable deodorant proection and NIVEA's mild care."

Pros:
- Available locally for about Php140.00
- Can be used for both females & males
- Hygenic to share with others because its only sprayed on
- Really lasts 24 hours without perspiring
- Doesn't irriate senstive skin
- Lasts for about 1 1/2 shared between two people - haha hubby and I share this one.
- Has a fresh, not overwhelming scent
- Available in roll on forms ( I don't like to use this especially when shared with others)

Cons:
- Irriates skin if the skin has been freshly shaved or plucked/epilated
- Spray Can is not good for the environment
- Can't take this on air travel - for fire hazards.

Overall:

I really enjoy the fresh scent and the protection this deodorant provides me throughout the day. Im just happy it doesn't leave that yucky white dusty look on my shirts that some anti-persperants give.

I give this baby 9/10 just because it isn't good for the environment.

On to the Dove Go Fresh Cucumber & Green Tea Scent

"The beautifyl thing about this deodorant besides the 24 hour protection? Well, with the fresh Green Tea & Cucumber scent it goes on clean & light. Feels fresh? Absolutely. Dove is also the only deodorant with 1/4 moisturising cream, after shaving, leaving underarms soft and smooth. So, what are you waiting for? Go Fresh! "

Just that little paragraph there just sells it all for me. I want all of that!

You can smell that fresh scent they are talking about, not saying that it's much better than Nivea, its just as fresh scented as each other. I think the only difference between the two is the moisturizing factor. Because as I said above - When I shave my underarms, and I spary the Nivea - My underarms go red and irritated, as for the Dove Go Fresh, It feels moisturized and it isn't at all irriated.

Pros:
- Moisturizes underarms
- Lasts all day long - 24 hours
- Fresh and beautifully scented
- Lasts up to 2-3 months used on its own
- Can be used for females & males
- Hygenic to share with others (spray can)
- Available in roll on forms

Cons:
- Spray can isnt good for the environment
- Spray Can cant be taken on air flights due to fire hazards.

Overall:

I like this one also just as much as the nivea, but the one thing this one has over the nivea is the moisturizing quality.

This baby also gets a 9/10 for the same reason above- the spary can is just not good for the environment.

You can find both these in your local supermarkets or department stores for P140.00-P180.00. Good thing is these arn't sealed so you can test them for the scent prior to buying - always a plus.

This nifty device is great and affordable. I got mine in Australia in a local kitchen wear store of $30 AUD so in conversion Php 1260 . Im sure it possibly be available here in Philippines somewhere. Or you can find it at Sushezi Website .

This does not only make sushi, you can make cookies, sasuage rolls, etc. Let your imagination do the work.

INSTRUCTIONS
Making your Sushi (Maki)

1. Open your Sushezi and lightly oil the inside. Wet your hands to help handle the rice better. Make sure the plunger rod is sitting in the screw thread position. Pack 1/2 cup of Sushi rice mixture into one half of the Sushezi and repeat with another 1/2 cup into the other half, again making sure the plunger rod is in the screw thread position.

2. Lift out the plunger rod and lay it in the centre of one half of the rice. Press firmly down, making sure that the end plate is in position at the screw thread end. Repeat for the other half. This will provide a neat, straight groove. Lay your ingredients into the grooves.

3. Replace the plunger into the thread end in the screw channel with the end plate against the end of the thread.

4. Gently close the two halves together, starting at a 45º angle.

5. Clip the latches shut. Fit the end cap by lining up the marks and make sure it is secure by twisting to lock in place.

6. Hold the Sushezi in one hand and turn the plunger knob until the mark on the rod is reached (approx. 5 full turns). This will compress the rice mixture to the right consistency.

7. Twist the end cap to unlock and remove the cap. On a bench or tabletop, place a nori sheet glossy side face down with the longest edge closest to you. Push the plunger right through. Position the newly formed rice roll on to the nori sheet.

8. Roll up the nori sheet. Wet the nori sheet at the joining end with a little water to ensure that the overlap sticks.

9. To allow the nori sheet to soften, leave for 15 minutes before slicing. Moisten the blade of a sharp knife with water. Slice through. Wipe the blade of the knife clean after each cut. Using the cutting former will make the individual sushi evenly shaped and professional in appearance.

10. Enjoy!

Overall

I love this sushi maker because its simple to use, although i'm not such a big fan of the sushi thats available, I can use this to make my own sushi with the ingredients I like. Not only that I can try making other dishes with this.
Doesn't make such a big mess, easy to clean and store away.

So if you love sushi, this is definately something you should have in your kitchen cubboard, just for thoes days you need to get sushi into your tummy!

Review: Magic Wand

Yey! I got my magic wand. I just saw a few reviews on this, and it was for sale for P250.00 I had to get my hands on this weird looking thing.

I got mine from http://magichrwand.multiply.com/ took a 2-3 days and I already had it in my hands.

I've been trying this little nifty product out for the last few weeks, and, it's not a bad werid looking device. Its pretty much made up of a spring and two handles. And the way it works is alot like threading but with a spring. And when you twist the sping all over your hairs it plucks them out.

HOW TO

Step 1: Bend the want into an inverted U

Step 2: Relax and place the wand firmly on your face

Step 3: Roll handles inward and outward

Step 4: Watch your unwanted hair disappear.

Tips:

- Make sure your face washed and clean

- Make sure your face isn't oily or wet

- To make it easier for the hair to come off - push your tounge against problem area

- Use wand as you see any regrowth

- practice makes perfect

Keeping it clean:

Like ourselves, we must also make sure the tools we use are always clean.

- Bend the want into a U and tap out the plucked hair

- Wet a tissue with alcohol and wipe the want with it or rinse wand under warm water

- Let dry completely before using again.

Personal Thoughts:

This is a cute little product, that helps with removing undwanted hair all over your face. You know all thoes hidden hairs you can't notice on your face but they are there! This gets them out. Around the lips, chin, cheeks, forehead etc. Unfortunately it's no good to remove hair around eyebrows, because its just too big for that.

When you actually first try this product, you will be able to hear and feel the hair plucking out of your face. Its a easy product to keep in your handbag, when you just notice this patch of hair. Its not loud like an epilator and doesn't need a battery to be operated.

It didn't really hurt me when I used it, but others may feel different about it.

Pros:

- Pulls out unwanted hair from face area

- not noisy

- small

- doesn't need batteries to operate

- can fit in your hand bag

- Affordable

Cons:

- Cant pull out unwanted eyebrow hairs

Overall

I think this product is cute and handy. Not necessary. Although its similar to being threaded all over your face. One area will normally cost you Php 100.00, So technically you will only get 2 1/2 treating sessions out of this one wand, iyou can get this wand, and fix up yourself quickly before you head out the door.

You will only find this product useful if you have unwanted hairs around your face such as your upper lips, otherwise this is proberly not for you.

Friday the 13th - How did you celebrate.

Talk about me being out of the loop, I had no idea it was Friday the 13th, and, truth be told, I didn't even realize it was something to be celebrated

But nonetheless, it ended up being a great night out! YAY!

It all started because we were actually waiting all morning for engineer and his workers to come back to the unit to finish the leaking bathroom! And guess what?! He wasn't going to come! Hubby and I was so annoyed, because he didn't even bother to call or text to tell us that he wasn't coming until we did! So inconsiderate! Argh, so anyway we decided we have to do something instead of waste the day away. So we tossed up some ideas and chose to go to MOA.

In my process of getting dressed I saw my hooters singlet I got from Australia, and, I was telling hubby I wish I had the guts to wear this out. He ended up convincing me to wear it and we would hit the hooters restraunt in MOA. I was so embarressed, But maybe the girls would give me a staff discount. Hehe gettin my hopes high!

So little did we realize it was friday the 13th, and, the traffic was INSANE! bumper to bumper all the way. But we finally got there, but it was to early for dinner, so we went inside the mall, and, counted the people who was shocked by my singlet, We got to 70 ppl and then lost intrest! haha, small things that amuse us! So we got to hooters, and, boring the girls didn't even say anything, the life wasnt there at all. Even when they were dancing on the tables wheres the enthusiasm! The most enteratining thing I found was the guy behind us getting pissed of at the waitress and the manager because it took 15 minutes for a beer! Thats no good.

Anyway, as for the food, I got chicken quasidelias - MMMM Yummy, and hubby got a chicken burger - which unfortunately not up to what we expected especially for the price. You get much more from Chilis, TGIF etc. But, overall I would give hooters a 5/10.

So as we finished there, we heared on the radio MAGIC 89.9 was going to be at Fort Bonifacio at TGIF where a few bands would be playing. So we figured maybe we can go there to have a few drinks. So glad we did. There was 3 bands playing; river maya; grey stout/gracedout eee.. couldn't clearly hear what Susie and Mia announced over the mic and one more and yet again couldn't hear the name being announced - my apologies If anyone knows please correct me. But they were all awesome, I loved the music and the atmosphere, even if the crowd was tough it ended up really good. With free shoots of Jagermister! If you don't like licorice, Im not sure you will like this drink, actually I don't like it myself, but it was free!

Whilst im on the topic, have you heared of a drink called a Jager Bomb! Its a shot of Jagermister and a glass of redbull, and you drop your shot in the redbull and you have to scull it! It tastes YUCK! but its fun! So hubby, didn't think anyone knew what this drink was, So we made a bet, If I won I would get my revlon lipgloss in pink afterglow I have been lemming for a while, If he won I would give him a little present!

In the end I won! Yippee and today I got my lipgloss! But I think Ill give my hubby his little present for being such a good sport!

Oh yeah and did I forget to mention my hubby was so sweet he won me the New Moon soundtrack !! aww...sweetness

So anyway, that was my first celebrated friday the 13th as a hooters chick! hehe

This is such a great range in product, although you do pay the price for this product, you find it lasts you a long time and you really see results in your hair.

I have in my collection the Shampoo 250ml, Repairing Serum 50ml, Treatment 200 ml & Leave in treatment 150ml. All of these except for the leave in treatment was given to me as a gift from the Loreal Representive Ms Bullet & Ms Anne. I am hoping soon the salon HQ will allow this line to be sold in my shop, But you can find serie expert line in many salons except for my favorite Leave in treatment that I had to bring all the way from Australia. It goes for about $20 aud so thats Php 840.00.

But because I didn't buy the other products myself, but I am aware that they hover around the same price.

I have used and tried all execpt the shampoo, I don't know why I haven't used it, haha Im saving it. Well maybe Im just keeping it until I finish my other products.

But I really see results in my hair after I use them. My hair feel so much more silky, smooth and healthier.

Shampoo: Designed to restructure and protect the hair fiber. The hair regains strength, shine and is revitalized. Neofibirne, a unique combination of Bio-Mimetic Ceramide shine perfecting agent and a UV filter for hair.

Directions: Apply to damp ahir & lather. Rinse thorougly. Repeat process if necessary.

Directions: apply a small amount to shamppoed towel dried hair, spead evenly through lengths and ends. Do not rinse. Style as usual

Directions: appy and massage into shampooed and towel-dried hair. Leave in for 2-3 minutes. Rinse thorougly.

Directions: apply to shampooed & towel-dried haie or fully dried hair. Massage cream into the ends. Leave in and style as usual.

Leave in Keratin Treatments

Im sure we have all heared about this new rave of the Keratin Treatments, that usually take 2-4 hours depending on the product and the process done by the salons.

Anyway, for thoes who don't know what keratin actually is.

Keratin is an extremely strong protein which is a major component in skin, hair, nails, hooves, horns, and teeth. The amino acids which combine to form keratin have several unique properties, and depending on the levels of the various amino acids, keratin can be inflexible and hard, like hooves, or soft, as is the case with skin. Most of the keratin that people interact with is actually dead; hair, skin, and nails are all formed from dead cells which the body sheds as new cells push up from underneath. If the dead cells are kept in good condition, they will serve as an insulating layer to protect the delicate new keratin below them.

So now knowing that, in relation to our hair, skin and nails, if we don't take care of them as in treating them and moisturizing them, and applying alot of heat, our hair, skin & nails will become dry, brittle and/or fizzy.

So, I wanted to share with you a product that can be found online and in salons, a leave in keratin treatment, that can be easily done at home and at the salon.

Shine Moist Ionic Keratin Treatment & Natural Deep moisture keratin treatment. Both are very similar to each other. I use both of these personally and sell these inside my salon.

Shine Moist Ionic Keratin Treatment

It says on the packet

Scentifically formulated with Blue bond protein, Ionic Keratin Treatment injects, dry, colored, permed and frizzy hair improved intensive moisture plus softness perfectly. This provides deep penetrating moistrizing for brilliantly gloss and shine effects. Directions:
After shampooing, blot dry hair with towel. Apply Shine Moist Hair Treatment generously over all the hair & cover with plastic cap for 15-30 minutes with or without heat.

Natural Deep Moisture Keratin Treatment

It says on the packet

Concentrated hair mask developed with special blend of ingredients to penetrate and revitalize hair from inside & out. It deeply moisturizes the hair leaving it healty, soft, smooth & shiny.

Directions: Exactly the same as the Shine Moist Treatment.

Both these products are very similar to each other, some people like to say the natural one isn't as strong as the shine moist. It really depends on preference, I like both of them. I get about 2-3 uses out of one packet. Each packet goes for P100-150 pesos. These are good for a once a week treatment.

When I do this treatment at home, and, Im not lazy, I like to put on a shower cap and get my blowdryer and blow it over my head. This just helps because when the hair is heated the cuticals open up, making it easier for the treatment to penetrate the hair.

After rinsing out, and letting my hair dry, it feels so healty and soft. When its fully dried its not frizzy any more, and, if styled the result looks really healty & shinny.

Pros:

- Makes Hair Shiny, soft, smooth and manageable
- Afforable
-2-3 uses come out of one packet
- available locally

Cons:

I can't think of any!

Will I repurchase:

Of course - I always have to restock this product!
For people with damaged hair and low on budget give this product a shot!

TEA TREE OIL

Have any of you ever used tea tree oil??

I have been using this product for years, since I was 13 years old and starting out with acne.

Unfortunately the way I found out about this product, I was sitting on a ant hill, and got ants in my pants, literally!! OUCH. It really hurt me, and I got red bits on my butt! So my mum immediately grabed a bottle of tea tree oil, and a Q tip, and, you can guess what she made me do next.

Anyway, aside from my little embarrassing story, I soon found out tea tree oil, worked wonders for acne! Just get a Q tip and apply right on the pimple, you should already see a decrease in appearance the next day, well I do anyway.

I absolutely love this product. I did find it difficult to find 100% tea tree oil, here in philippines, but I did find body shop has got a 15ml bottle for appx Php 600.00 and I recently found out healty options also has one for a little less in a 15ml bottle. Before, that I had to get my mum to send me over a few bottles from Australia - good ol mama!

This product is very potent, so you don't want to be washing this all over your face. Hence, the Q tip and applying it only to the irritated skin.

This product is also good to use as a anti-bacterial - which I guess thats why its good for acne. It is also good as a cleaning agent when diluted in water.

So if your having trouble with acne and you tried everything else, give this a shot, 9/10 you will see results!

Note: This product is only advised for external use! and when looking for this product look for the 100% pure tea tree oil

Pros:

- great for pimple fighting action and against ant bites hehe
- good as a cleaning agent & anti-bacterial

Cons

- may not always work, but as I say 9/10 it does - thats pretty good for odds

Will I repurchase:

Definately - I been getting it for many years, why would I stop now.

I Lovvvvve this brush!!! I got it from the MAC counter in Shangri-La Plaza, for a whopping P3000.00, A bit outrageous, but I don't know what I did without this brush.

I heared so many good reviews about this brush, and prior to be a MMU user, I used a liquid foundation everyday.

Ive had this brush since May 09, and I haven't had one bad experience with it at all.

I am very lucky I had very little hair fall, maybe 3 hairs have fallen since I got the brush, since I heared a alot of these brushes have a fair amount of hairfall.

I use this brush for everything, my foundations, both liquid and my mineral foundation, blush, bronzers, shimmers. It's really multipurpose, and it really does give the airbrushed look. It makes my foundation feel so well applied and light, as compared to using a sponge.

For thoes who arn't willing to part with P3000.00 there are dupes of this brush, going for about P500 - P800, It is said its not quite the same thing, but pretty darn close, so for a saving of almost P2500, pretty close, is not a bad thing.

Pros :
- gives a flawless airbrushed look
- multi purpose
- Loveeeee it

Cons :

The Magic Of Nipple Covers

Don't you just hate when you come across the prefect top or dress, but you just don't have the appropriate bra to match with it, because it was backless or it just showed where it shouldn't or the top was too tight to wear a bra but just in case it got cold, you know..

Have you given a try to silicon nipple covers?

These lil bad boys are the way to go. They are available in variety of stores that sell under garments, in a range of colors, patterns and shapes. I got mine at divisoria for P100.00, just to give them a try.

They come in a little box, in a plastic case and a plastic backing to stop dirt from sticking to the back.

To put them on you just need to clean the area you will be applying the nipple covers to, and then remove the plastic backing, and apply to the nipple area.

Obviously, I won't be posting an image of this, because thats just inappropriate. But they just stick into place and put on your flashy dress or top, and your good to go. No more bra outlines in that perfect dress or straps hanging out where they shouldn't show.

And if your not comfortable using nipple covers, you can also try the silicon bra, that just sticks into place.

Pros:
Simple to use
Re-usable as long as its kept clean
Affordable
Must have for all girls

Cons:
Need to keep clean if want to re use.

Will I repurchase: Yes

Note: after use wash off excess dirt with warm water and place back in plastic case, ready to use again.

Sick of that short haircut! But don't have the patience for your hair to grow out to that perfect length?! Here's your solution try Clip on hair extensions from LYNELL HAIR.

I've had mine for about 4 months now and I LOVE IT! I really got them for my wedding last August, because in my mind, I imagined my hair being long and flowing on my wedding day, and, who was I to not allow myself to deminish my dream, with my short hair. My hair just wasn't growing quick enough. So I researched different kinds of hair extensions they offer here. Glue in, thoes ring clip in ones and the tempoary clip in ones. They all offered different grades of hair extensions, synthetic hair, human hair grade A and human hair highest quality. Sorry I have the wrong terms, I can't remember them if my life depended on it. But you all get what I mean.

Prices ranged from PHP1000.00 to PHP 30,000 depending on what kind you had, how many you put in, and what quality you used.

And, In the end I thought maybe it would be so much easier to put in and take out the extensions when ever I wanted, to have short have one day and long hair the next. The ultimate options all at the power of my finger tips.

So in the end I got in touch with Ms Aki, who was very persitant and very patient in updating me with current promos, and answering my questions promptly. Unfortunatelly, I went to the tutuban mall, whilst one of my shopping spree days there, and I just couldn't find the shop anywhere, nor did any of the guards. But on one of my days shopping in Greenhills, I found a Lynell Hair Branch there, YAY, so I immediately dragged my baby J in there, and started asking about their hair extensions. They tried them in my hair so I could actually see how it looked on me. I love that. They first tried the 22 inch on my hair but seemed too long, so I tried the 16 inch, and it was perrrfect.

So in the end I got 7 pieces, for just under PHP5000.00, on the spot in dark brown, 4x 2 clips, 2x 3 clips and 1x 4 clip. 100% human hair, so I could style it in anyway, curl, straighten it, color it, if I wanted to but I wouldn't suggest it, especially if you get the extensions that have been "chemically treated" and not the 100% virgin hair. And you can wash and treat it, just like human hair. Just make sure not to get the clips wet, or else it might just break apart.

I have not been more happy with my extensions. I am considering getting some more in the future. Just know, there is a life period on these hair extensions. So do take care of them, the better you look after them, the longer they last.

Anyway here are the pictures of what I look like with and without the extensions on. So simple to put in and take out with the clips, and the attendants at Lynell hair have instructions how to care for your extensions and how to put them in.

Wet on Wet Technique - Tutorial Natural Eye Look

Here it goes for my first picture tutorial. I thought I would share with all of you my favorite way to apply eyeshadow.

I really like to use the wet on wet technique because its so much more gentle on the eyes, little work needs to be done, easier to blend out, the colors are very vivid and for me it lasts all day, I don't even need a primer.

For this tutorial I did a natural eye look, using my MOI Cosmetics 28 Neutral Palette, concealer brush, blending brush, sauce bowl, scotch tape and paper towel.

Why a concealer brush, because when brushes are wet, they get flimsy, and a concealer brush is the strongest or should I say most dense of all eye brushes, therefore, its the strongest when wet.

So first step, start with a clean face, have your foundation, concealer whatever you do before your eyeshadow.

Get your scotch tape and just stick it from the corner of your eye to the ends of your eyebrows. You dont have to do this, I just like to, because at the end of it, you have nice clean lines.

Then grab your concealer brush and wet it, and wipe off the excess water on a clean paper towel. Then dip it into your the lightest eyeshadow. For this I used a shimmery champange color, and apply straight to the lids and your brow bone as a highlighter.

Next step, clean your brush again and get your darkest eyeshadow and apply to the corners of your eyes and along the crease of your lids, and, apply it a bit above the crease. Just create a outer V. Don't worry just yet if it creates harsh lines.

Now get your blending brush and blend out the harsh lines. And if you must apply some more color to add depth.

After your happy with that, grab a color in between the two shades you just used, get your blending brush and sweep it up towards your brow bone. Just enough to blend out thoes harsh lines.

Now, remove the scotch tape. You can see the very clean line, you may need to blend out these lines a little so they arnt so harsh. I used my extra large blender brush to do this.

To finish off the look, I defined my eyebrows with some brown eyeshadow, lined my eyes, applied pink lipstick and my blush. Good to go!

Ellana - Mineral Foundation

The beauty of mineral makeup, is that its light and not bad for the skin. However, there are many brands out there that claim to be mineral makeup that are not really as pure as we would all like them to be.

But on my search for the perfect mineral foundation with a good amount of coverage, I stumbled across Ellana Mineral Makeup. I still really haven't used mineral makeup before, other than the AVON mineral foundation, which was not good for my skin at all. I was so excited to try it, but how was I to choose the best shade for me?

Luckily enough, you can find on the ellana website tips and tricks, and in one of these tips and tricks, it actually teaches you how to find your undertone, and then from there you should already know the shade you should use on your skin, and then there you go, more likely than not, you will find the right shade for you. But still if your not sure you can get the trial size for 1g for only P100.00 and it will last you as long as a week.

I ended up choosing initally Hazelnut latte in pure blend 2 in 1 because at the time, my skin was very uneven toned. But It wasnt the right shade for me, so I tried Almond Latte in pure blend 2 in 1. The coverage was great and was so light on my skin. No more feeling heavy or icky.

Since about a month ago, my skin has become alot more oily, Im not sure why, maybe the heat of Philippines is finally affecting me. So I changed to the intensive coverage, which is perfect for oily skin types. It keeps my face matte all day. I don't use a primer at all with this foundation, just moisturizer and i'm good to go.

To apply, I use my ellana large buffer brush, you can get this for PHP750.00, It gives me a nice smooth finish.

All Saints Day

Yay, a day off, time to relax and spend time with the family.

As im told, on All Saints Day, the Filipino people like to go to the cemetary and see the loved ones, and may even stay there over night.

I haven't personally experienced this, as I haven't really got any reason to visit there I guess. Although, I am curious to know more about the custom, especially since im half filo, and want to get in touch with that side of my culture.

But for today, I spent time with my loved ones relaxing and enjoying the day.

My baby J and I, decided to go for a little picnic with our babies, eddie and splitz, all of our family is back in Australia, so we make do. To Luneta Park. Its such a nice place to go bring your food, mat and just spend the day there, and, count the clouds.

But since there wasn't many places open, we just got a bunch of KFC and ate it at the park. MMMM.... Yummy. Not at all healty, but oh well, its a holiday. Have to indulge once in a while.

Horses and carrigages, people who offer manicures and foot massages without having to go the salon, picture takers and people with snacks. It all comes to you. It's amazing, although that does happen alot in Philippines and a few other countries, but not in Australia, so its definately an experience for me.

Philippines is just a amazing place, with a total different lifestyle and culture. Im looking forward to experiencing alot of the other traditions in the future. I hear in Pampanga they have a interesting traditon at Easter time. Maybe that will be the next one.

When I was on a mission to find the prefect kohl eyeliner, I came past the Prestige Total Intensity Liners, they claimed to be long lasting, smudge proof and water proof. I thought - geez I gotta try some of these. So I grabbed thoes testers and started drawing them on my hand. And the color pay off was AMAZING. So vivid and so intense. Then I had to try the smudge proof part, and I didnt wait long to wipe it, it barely budged!

At smudge proof I was already sold. But I had to give the waterproof side a whirl. So I got a bit of my saliva! haha I know disgusting but I just had to try. It again slightly faded, but only a bit! So I was so ready to get them and check out. But what colors to choose. I ended up walking out with deepest black, strong slate and bold brown, at $14 aud a pop. But to not look like a racoon, I thought it was worth it, as I seen and used worse for $10 aud.

As I arrived back in Philippines, I found out I left them back in Australia, man was I cranky with myself. And I had no idea where to get them. Argh... And I found my friend Shrilina who imports american cosmetics to Philippines, was accepting orders from Prestige. I was happy again.

I ended up ordering the deepest black, strong slate (grey) and intense olive at PHP480.00 . I just recieved them last Monday. The long wait was over and I can finally get to use the liners.

Unfortunately, I discovered that the beauty bars also sell prestige cosmetics, and the liners for PHP 250- 300.00, but on the plus side, they didn't sell the total intensity liners.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to share my experience with my Gorgeous Hair Iron, Ive had my Iron for over 1 year now. And its just great. It gives beautiful results to my hair. It comes out so sleek and smooth. It heats up in just seconds. But because in the past there were problems with the GHD Hair Iron, with zapping people. They made it ZAP Proof, or something along thoes lines, as the sales attendant told me. And if you were to ever get "zapped" within two years they would replace it on the spot.

Just to give you all a little bit of history of the GHD and Gorgeous Hair Irons. GHD has been around for a very long time and it was the BOMB! the absolute best when it comes to hair irons, with a very nice price tag of AUD 400.00 appx, and according to the sales attendant and a bit of research I have done in the past. It comes that the creators of GHD Irons, there were 3 of them, and for some reason they had a dispute and split up. And one of the guys went out and made the Gorgeous Hair Iron. But dont be fooled also there is already a dupe of the gorgeous Iron, its called Be Gorgeous, so just don't get the two confused with each other.

I got my Gorgeous Iron at GlamaCo for AUD 200.00 appx maybe just a bit less. I got a 50% discount on it, because I had a trade card, otherwise they were going for just over AUD 300.00. And it came with a 2 year replacement warranty, compared to the GHD with only one year repair warranty at double the price. So I thought what the heck, and I got the girl to test both of them on my hair at the same time. The results were exactly the same, and to this day it still is, because everytime I go back to the land down under, my sister has a GHD Iron, and I always still test it out. Still just as good as each other.

Although, I did notice just last August, my Iron wasn't getting as hot as it used to when I first got it, so I took it back to GlamaCo, no questions asked they changed it over! YIPPEE, and still no complaints, best iron I ever invested in.

This iron also has what you call floating plates, so when you twist your iron, it follows around to make better curls. And have you also noticed hair irons, when you press the two plates together they don't quite clamp each other properly, and your hair just isn't giving you the straight hair you want, well with floating plates, the plates always clamp together, there is never a gap between the two, which gives better results when ironing your hair.

So anyway, my hair is wavy, and today I wanted to have straight hair, so I straightened it with my gorgeous iron, so you can see how nice the results are.

PPS Heat Protector

TIP: When styling your hair with a hair iron, curling iron or blowdryer, prior to doing so, make sure you use a heat protector so your hair doesn't get so damaged. I used my PPS Heat Protector. You can get any heat protector at hair salons or your local grocery store and department store. So invest in one, its well worth it.

Pros:

* Its cheaper than the GHD Iron

* Its easy to use

* results are smooth and straight
* creates good curls - so multipurpose

* it has cute dimonties ( If any ever fall out the sellers fix that how awesome - its apparantly covered in the warranty)

* It comes both in black & pink

* Not available locally in the Philippines ( but can be purchased online on ebay)

* It isn't affordable to everyone - but consider it lasts a long time so in the long run its actually cheaper.

WANT BIG HAIR? CLAY POWDER BY LONISHAIR

Do you want to give yourself that big hair? Without having to use so much hairspray to keep it in place? Or just can't stand the smell of hairspray?

You have to try this, Clay Powder by Lonishair. I love it, and use it to give my hair that extra umph it needs. It stays all day, no need for all that toxic hairspray anymore. You just pour out some of this fine powder onto your hair, where you want to create the volume, and tease it. Sometimes I use my teasing brush, or when im lazy I just scratch it into place, it works.

I got this from Australia in GlamaCo, for $20aud 2 for 1 deal. So I had to grab it,I just don't know where to buy it in Philippines at that price, and I'm not exactly sure where to buy here either. Although, I have seen them occassionally on ebay.

I first got introduced to this product from my sister and my mum, who were using Schwarzkopf Dust It Powder. Its just a bit more expensive than the Lonis Hair, but they didn't have the 2 for 1 deal so I went with Lonishair. The difference between the two is, that Schwarkopf is a little more course, and I find it makes my hair feel like rubber when applied. But still works as good as each other. It just really depends on preference.

The powder is so fine, that when you pick up the bottle, it feels empty, but don't be fooled, there is alot of product inside. You only need a little bit to get results, but the more, the bigger the hair.

I tried to takes some photos so you can see the difference, but failed, the photos just don't do justice, so at a later date I will update this blog with some before and after pictures, of the magical abilities of this great clay powder.

If any of you tried anything to make your hair big, and its a good product, let me know, Im always trying to keep my eyes out, as I just dont like my fine hair.

REVIEW 180 PRO PALETTE & 88 WARM PALETTE

They finally arrived, the 180 Pro Palette & 88 Warm Palette! They're so cool, and look much better in real life, than in the pictures that you find on the internet. I really cant wait to try some looks with these palettes.

These pictures just quite don't do the justice for these palettes, but it's close enough.

The 180 palette has obviously 180 colors, mixed with shimmer, matte, marble and satin colors. If 120 palette or the 88 color palette just isn't enough for you, the 180 is. Very pigmented and a little goes a long way. The only bad thing is, its a huge palette. So its not very portable, but for 180 colors I think I come to terms with the size, for the amount of colors it provides.

The 88 Warm, is the same size as the 88 color and 88 palette, but just purely made of neutral shades. Its perfect for the people who just like neutral looks and smokey eyes. Its beautiful for thoes wedding looks. Its very similar to the 28 neutral palette, however, the 88 palette lacks in the amount of color and size of each pot, makes up in the variety of colors, in whites, silvers, golds, peaches, beige, browns, plumbs and blacks.

Im so excited to try a look with these palettes. Its been so long and still waiting to finish moving into my new place, just everything so delayed. And im just bursting to try these palettes out. So will post up some swatches when I have time :)

Have you got to try the ever famous eyeshadow makeup palettes?

I did, and I want to share my thougts with you all. Especially if your thinking about purchasing them.

Please also note, I do sell these palettes, but I am trying to keep my thoughts on the palettes purely unbias and based only on what I think about them, and Im not trying to sell it to you at all.

So anyway, I got these three palettes first, from a girl named Anne. I initally found out about these palettes, because I was looking for options and really because I wanted it for my wedding. I was so keen to get the 88 shimmer, then she advised to get the matte one, as its easier to create a everyday look with this palette. So I immediately said, bring both, I had to see them. So I went to see her, she forgot to bring one of them. She only brought the 88 matte palette. So we set a 2nd date and then she started advising the 28 palette, as its much nicer for wedding looks. So knowing me, I said bring them both and i'll decide. On the day of our meeting, I just decided to go with all 3, I couldn't help myself. And, I knew the colors were so pigmented, and a little goes such a long way, and I wouldn't need to repurchase for such a long time. Also, because I work in a salon, it would come to use at some time.

So, since I bought them late january 2009, its still barely indinted in my eyeshadow pots. I still have not regretted getting them. I love them so much, I even got one for my sister whos doing a beauty course, and one for my mother. Both of them also love them.

I use my 88 matte palette on a daily basis, and the other two every now and then, but the color pay off is great, Ive created both simple and outrageous looks. Ill have to post them up, when I have my pictures all together.

As of the research I did before I started selling these palettes, These palettes, these are manufactured in Hong Kong, China. As you find majority of your cosmetics manufactured in China, and sold by many well known companies, that place their logo on it. These are not replica of MAC Cosmetics, but are good dupes of MAC eyeshadow pots, which goes for P800.00 a pop, when you can get these 88 palettes ranging from $15 US - $ 30 US, or in pesos from PHP800.00 to PHP1500.00 depending on what you order. Even the big company Coastal Scents, import these palettes from Hong Kong, they are just a distributor of these makeups.

So my thoughts when I purchased these palettes, I thought this was a great bargain, so many colors at an affordable price. What can go wrong. I am also getting my hands on the 88 warm, 180 palette and the 10 pc concealer palette. So, when I get to try them, Ill let you know what I think. Ill also post up some pictures of the looks created and some swatches. So keep an eye out for them.

So, I hope this helps out decide if you want to get any of these range of products, Im sure, no matter where you purchase them from you will enjoy it very much. Especially for thoes makeup artists or people who want to start their eyeshadow collection without making your pockets too light, this is a great option for you.

HEY EVERYONE!!!!!!!

MY BYS (Be Yourself) HAUL! As some of you may know, I recently left to go to Australia to get married to my only one!!! Because thats where all our family is.
And because my sister is a student in a beauty course, she knew about different products for really good prices. I told her one day, I needed a white eyeshadow, because unforunately the one in my 88 color palette just wasnt pigmented enough for me. She told me about BYS, that you can get this BYS Eyeshadow for $2 AUD. which is what, PHP80.00 give and take, whatever the exchange rate is that. I said to myself, I gotta get my hands on these, what do I have to loose. So there you have it, I went all out! and got all of the below items, and proberbly a few more, I just cant find them! haha...

These are the single eyeshadows going for $2 - 4 AUD, depending on where you buy them, you can also buy small cases for your pots! I got the boring one, but there is some funky colorful ones, I will be getting my hands on them on my next trip back home. YAY. Anyway they have these pots available in powder, matte, shimmer, fluro and cream! WOW !!! I couldn't help myself, the more I got, I still wanted more again.

Here are some swatches of the colors I got!!! SOOO pigmented!!!! Last really good amount of time! And a little goes a long way. I think the picture tells it all.

The ingredients in these eyeshadows are:Magnesium, stearate, talc, mica iso-propyl myristate, butylate, hydroxy, antsole, propyl paraben, parafin, oil, metheyl, paraben.
These eyeshadows come in all colors available!!!! And so affordable.

This is another product i got from BYS Selection. The 5 piece palette #5 in black steel. Colors in White, light grey, dark grey , matte black and shimmer black. This palette is perfect for smokey eye looks. The colors are so pigmented, and again a little goes a long way. There are many versions of this palette in different colors, this palette is also somewhat similar to the revlon 5pc palettes, just without the pricetag.

Here are the swatches of the 5 pc palette, all in order. Can you see how bright they are and they are all without any primer or base.

This is another palette I picked up in a random store. I can't remember the price I got it for, but it was really cheap. Its called the BYS Eye Creme Splat Palette, Obviously you can see by the pictures the colors look all splattered. They are cream based, and, come out with unique colors, because of the different blends of colors inside them. They would be good eyeshadow bases and even just an eyeshadow on its own.

Here are all the swatches of the Creme Splat Palette, all very bright, all very shimmery. Good color pay off. Not a bad buy for the price that its at.
Anyway, thats it for my haul, sorry if I missed out on any items, I will do some looks in the future using these products, very cheap and great pay off! They arn't replicas of anything, this BYS is its own brand! With its own product. If you get a chance to try some try them!

The Bucket List

Have any of you watched the Bucket List? The movie with the stars Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. It's a really good movie.

For thoes who haven't watched it, I'll give you a quick rundown. Its about two guys who are sick and dieing, and one of these guys made himself a list, a list of things to do before he dies. So the two of them together set out to fulfill these "dreams" and make it reality. Of course it has much more depth than that, but as I said it's just a quick rundown.

Anyway back to the point of this blog, this morning I got to thinking about the things I always wanted to do, and my very own bucket list, and how many of these things I have fulfilled.

So here are the very few things I have done

1. I run a business - which is totally insane! I love it, even though the stress is overwhelming at times, it such a wonderful life experience.
2. I got a tattoo - but i think I dont want to count it, because it was a cosmetic eyeliner tattoo that totally sucked!!!!!! its almost faded! So yeah..
3. I live in another country - In a place that I dont really understand it, learning a new culture, learning a new language.
4. I got married. :) just last month. Although It wasnt in a waterfall, in my bikini and roses petals everywhere. It was the next best thing. In a garden - and on the plus side there is always future anniversarys to do that hay.

So yea thats all I have fulfilled off my list so far, except the tattoo one, I want to get a proper tattoo.. I have the obvious things people put on their lists, fly a jet, sky dive, swim with sharks, and get in that freaky haunted house, and thoes little more private things, that I won't post up here. I just made this list, even though im not sick, dieing or anything, I made it because I want a mission in life, something that will make me feel like I done something worthy :) something that makes me happy. Don't think im a sad person for having this list, so much happens in life, and, how can you know when your time comes, but what can you do but at least attempt to make your dreams come true.

So thats it for now. I want to know if any of you guys have done anything like this, do you have your own bucket list? have you fulfilled any of your dreams? Let me know.

MAD MINERALS INDELIBLE CREAM EYESHADOWS

My thoughts on the MAD MINERALS Indelible Cream Eyeshadows

I saw these eyeshadows reviewed on youtube.com, while I was looking for reviews on the
ever famous MAC Paint Pots. I was just curious to what was all the fuss was about. And to what I found, they were these great new creation of cream eyeshadows, wonderful as a eyeshadow base and crease proof, in many colors. Oh so, did I want them. So I searched and searched for

the cheapest way to get these in my possession. Unfortunately I just couldn't find any, until one day I stumbled across this review on the MAD Minerals Indelible cream eyeshadows, apparently the next to the best dupe for the MAC Paint Pots. And for what it lacks in size it makes up in affordability.

So I checked it out and I just had to get my hands on these. I got them for PHP700.00 each, so much easier on my pocket. And I must say they are pretty true to what they claim to be.

They don't crease, they don't smudge, well not alot anyway. Which is pretty darn good. Great

as a eyeshadow and as a eyeshadow base. As for the waterproof aspect, I tried some swatches earlier, for all of you to see. When I went to wash the swatches off, the ones with the MAD mineral base, just would not budge, I had to scrub really hard, and it still left residue. So its pretty good for that aspect too.

I got the following cream eyeshadows

Apricot Frost - peachy color - close to MAC Rubenesque
Bare Necessity - nude color - close to MAC Painterly
Bronze Frost - shimmer bronze color- close to MAC Indianwood
Carbon - shimmering black - close to MAC Blackground

After being rubbed off with my finger.

After being washed with water - swatches with cream base is still in good condition.

I use the carbon as my eyeliner sometimes, I apply just like any cream liner, and I must say

it lasts better than some other liners I own. I just set it with a black eyeshadow, and its good to go all day long. So I guess thats it for my personal opinion.
